The previous franchise record for points in a season was 96, set by the Winnipeg Jets in 1984-85 (43-27-10). On Thursday, the Coyotes broke the 1984-85 Jets? franchise record for wins in a single season when they defeated the Panthers to record their 44th win of the season.
Tonight?s victory was also the Coyotes? ninth consecutive win, tying the franchise record for longest winning streak, which was also set by the 1984-85 Jets when they won nine straight games from Mar. 8-27, 1985.
